JANUARY 13-18
From the beginning of Action Church, we have made it a priority to seek God first in prayer. Through prayer and fasting, we set aside all distractions and open our hearts to what God has to say. Join us this January for a week of fasting and intentional prayer - we can’t wait to see what He is going to do!

Make your tent bigger; stretch it out and make it wider. Do not hold back. Make the ropes longer and its stakes stronger, because you will spread out to the right and to the left. Your children will take over other nations, and they will again live in cities that once were destroyed.
Isaiah 54:2-3 NCV

Saturday, January 18
But forget all that—it is nothing compared to what I am going to do.19 For I am about to do something new. See, I have already begun! - Isaiah 43:18-19
Pray for spiritual awareness of new things God wants to do in and through you this year and a willingness to partner with Him in faith in order for them to be accomplished.
Pray against any schemes of the enemy attempting to block or delay God’s vision and plans or our church this year.
Pray that our church leadership would have wisdom to discern and respond to God-given opportunities that would advance God’s mission to reach people.
Pray for empowerment to live as Jesus did. May we be willing to suffer well, be sacrificial, obedient, generous, and faithful to God’s mission and vision this year.

Friday, January 17
10 For God is the one who provides seed for the farmer and then bread to eat. In the same way, he will provide and increase your resources and then produce a great harvest of generosity in you. 11 Yes, you will be enriched in every way so that you can always be generous. - 2 Corinthians 9:10-11 NLT
Pray that God would grant our church leadership wisdom in stewarding every resource He provides in order to continue being a church that is generous.
Reflect on how God has provided for you. Give Him praise and thanksgiving for His kindness and generosity.
Pray for guidance in how to personally be generous and advance God’s vision for our church this year.
Pray that God would bless you so you may be a blessing to others this year.

Thursday, January 16
While Jesus was here on earth, he offered prayers and pleadings, with a loud cry and tears, to the one who could rescue him from death. And God heard his prayers because of his deep reverence for God. 8 Even though Jesus was God’s Son, he learned obedience from the things he suffered. - Hebrews 5:7-8 NLT
Pray that each member of our church would obey, as Jesus did, so we may be used by God to advance His plans for our lives, our church, our cities, and the world.
Pray to grow deeper in your love and knowledge of God so that faithful obedience would be your response to Him.
Pray for unwavering trust in God. That your obedience would flow from trusting Him, His goodness, and His divine plans for your life .
Reflect on how Jesus willingly humbled himself to obey God and to serve others. Invite the Holy Spirit to prompt you to do the same this year when the opportunities arise.

Wednesday, January 15 (Encounter)
Yet it was our weaknesses he carried; it was our sorrows that weighed him down. And we thought his troubles were a punishment from God, a punishment for his own sins! 5 But he was pierced for our rebellion, crushed for our sins. He was beaten so we could be whole. He was whipped so we could be healed. 6 All of us, like sheep, have strayed away. We have left God’s paths to follow our own. Yet the Lord laid on him the sins of us all. - Isaiah 53:4-6 NLT
Reflect on today’s verses in Isaiah 53. Pray a prayer of thanksgiving for what Jesus did for us.
Pray for wisdom in discerning areas in your life where God is asking you to make personal sacrifices so He can use you to advance His vision and mission.
Invite the Holy Spirit to show you anything you have valued more than knowing Christ.
Confess and repent of any things in your life that you have prioritized over making God known in your life and the life of others.

Tuesday, January 14
He was despised and rejected by mankind, a man of suffering, and familiar with pain. Like one from whom people hide their faces he was despised, and we held him in low esteem. After he has suffered, he will see the light of life and be satisfied; by his knowledge my righteous servant will justify many, and he will bear their iniquities. - Isaiah 53:3, 11 NIV
Give God thanks for His Son, Jesus, and the suffering He willingly endured in order to offer us eternal salvation.
Pray that God would give us the same endurance that Jesus had in order to advance His mission in and through us.
Give God thanks that He redeems and gives purpose to our seasons of suffering.
Invite the Holy Spirit to give you wisdom, revelation, and patience to navigate problems or trials you may be facing.
If you are in the middle of a season of suffering, invite someone to pray with you. Our prayer team is available.
